PSALM - The Governing Bride

The elders sat at the gate
As the council convened
To birth laws, guidelines and policies that define the culture for the people
To bring forth a deed on which is stamped the vision for the city
That all may run thereby

And so it is for a people
The called out ones
One come from another realm
Let into God's creation
They carry upon them a rule
For their King had placed upon His shoulders the authority of an everlasting throne

That King is Jesus!
And His bride have marched into this earth
Bringing with them A Life
The Light of men!

We are His bride
The Governing Church!

We come, declaring the council of heaven
Binding laws to enforce the kingdom's rule on this realm of men
We are the greatest force of change upon this earth
We are heaven's mouthpiece
Ambassadors here on pilgrimage

Our allegiance is sure
The same resounded each day
Loyal to the call
And faithful to the end

We're heralded on a blood sacrifice
Pure, Perfect, whole and more than enough
The governors declare one message
Christ! His life, His death, His resurrection

Forever devoted, to see Your kingdom come
Our King Himself, at the right hand of the Father
Ministering to us the gifts obtained
A sure priest, a sacrifice, once for all
There's no better covenant

Today, standing in the inheritance that the Father's love wrought for us
We make home His spirit, filled with all His fullness
With hands glued to the plow, we can not turn back now
Our lives are lost in this call

As citizens and members of the household of God
With the authority of our King, Jesus
We deliver on this assignment
Consuming the realm of men with the glory of the kingdom from which we proceed.

To be light in dark places
To worship in spirit and in truth
To kneel, to seek and to pray always
To be Jesus!
For this light shines in darkness
And darkness be no more

Now, the world can not help but notice
The invasion of the nation of kings
None can prevail against us
For Jesus rides at the head of this army

And as this age pass away
A bride is returned, without spot or wrinkle
To be welcomed home with a toast
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant..."
